Personal data we collect

  • Identity and contact details – name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number.
  • Order and transaction details – products purchased, order value, delivery details and order history.
  • Payment information – processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Account details – login credentials and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Marketing preferences – your consent choices for email and other communications.
  • Technical and usage data – IP address, device and browser information, and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketplace order data – where you buy from us through an online marketplace (for example Amazon or eBay), that marketplace provides the information we need to fulfil your order, such as your name, delivery address and contact details.

How we collect your data

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, contact us or sign up to marketing.
  • Automatically through cookies and analytics when you use our website.
  • From third parties such as online marketplaces (Amazon, eBay) when you order our products there, and from our payment and fraud-prevention providers.

Why we use your data and our legal basis

  • To process, fulfil and deliver your orders and provide customer service – performance of a contract.
  • To arrange delivery and keep you updated, including sharing your details with couriers – performance of a contract.
  • To handle returns, refunds and warranty claims – performance of a contract and legal obligation.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations – legal obligation.
  • To prevent fraud, keep our systems secure and improve our products and website – legitimate interests.
  • To send you marketing communications where you have chosen to receive them – consent.

Orders placed through Amazon and other marketplaces

When you purchase from us through Amazon or another online marketplace, we receive limited personal data from that marketplace so that we can fulfil your order. We use this data only to:

  • process, package, ship and deliver your order;
  • provide customer service and handle returns, replacements and refunds;
  • meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not use marketplace-provided personal data for our own marketing, we do not sell it, and we share it only with the service providers needed to complete and support your order (such as the couriers and the order-management and accounting systems listed below). We keep this data only for as long as necessary to fulfil and support the order and to comply with the law, and we hold it securely with encryption in transit and at rest and appropriate access controls. Our handling of this data is consistent with the requirements of the marketplaces we sell through, including the Amazon Selling Partner API Data Protection Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.

Delivery partners (couriers)

To deliver your order and provide tracking and delivery notifications, we share your name, delivery address and, where relevant, your email address and telephone number with the carrier handling your delivery. Depending on the item and destination, our carriers include:

  • Royal Mail
  • Evri
  • APC Overnight
  • DPD
  • Parcelforce
  • Specialist pallet and two-person delivery carriers for large items such as baths, shower enclosures and furniture.

These carriers use your data only to deliver your order and, where offered, to provide delivery updates.

Other service providers we share data with

We share personal data with trusted providers who process it on our behalf under contract, including:

  • Shopify – our e-commerce platform, which powers our store, cart and checkout.
  • Supabase – secure data hosting.
  • Klarna, PayPal and our card payment providers – to process payments.
  • Google – website analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics and Google Ads), subject to your cookie consent.
  • Trustpilot – to invite and manage genuine customer reviews.
  • StoreFeeder – order and inventory management across our sales channels.
  • Xero – accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Online marketplaces (Amazon, eBay) – where you place your order through them.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business sale or reorganisation.

International transfers

Some of our providers (for example Shopify and Google) are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

  • Order and transaction records – kept for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal and tax obligations (generally at least six years for HMRC purposes).
  • Marketing data – until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.
  • Marketplace-provided data – only as long as necessary to fulfil and support the order and to comply with the law and marketplace requirements.
  • Account data – for as long as your account remains active.

How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access restricted on a need-to-know basis, and secure, access-controlled systems. Payment card details are handled by PCI-compliant payment providers and are not stored on our systems.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal). You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to run our website, remember your preferences and, with your consent, to measure traffic and advertising performance (using Google Analytics and Google Ads with Consent Mode). Non-essential cookies are only set where you have given consent, and you can change your choices at any time.

Marketing communications

We only send marketing where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
